Departing from Adelaide, you will be fully hosted from start to finish, with all transport, ferry logistics and guiding seamlessly taken care of.
Travelling in a premium vehicle with a maximum of just eight guests, the experience feels relaxed and personal from the moment you leave the city. There is time to pause at scenic lookouts, spend longer with wildlife and enjoy each location without feeling hurried.
Over three days, you will explore Kangaroo Island’s most iconic landscapes, including Flinders Chase National Park, Remarkable Rocks and Admirals Arch, while also discovering some of its most loved local experiences. What fitness level is required?
This tour requires a reasonable level of mobility and is best suited to guests who are comfortable with light to moderate walking and sightseeing. You should be able to walk up to 1.5km on uneven or natural surfaces without assistance or regular breaks, participate in 1 to 2 hours of sightseeing on foot at a time, stand for extended periods, climb stairs, and manage gentle slopes or uneven ground.
Some days may involve up to approximately 5,000 steps. Guests should also be able to get in and out of tour vehicles, and carry or wheel their own luggage, up to 20kg, plus hand luggage, up to 7kg.
For safety and comfort, this tour is best suited to guests who can move independently and do not require walking aids, frequent rest breaks, or assistance with mobility or luggage.

Ferry cancellations are uncommon, but they can happen due to weather or operational conditions. If the ferry is cancelled, we will adjust the itinerary and make the best alternative arrangements available at the time. This may include changing the order of activities, rescheduling components where possible, or arranging an alternative South Australian touring experience if travel to or from Kangaroo Island is not possible.
Can dietary requirements be accommodated?
Most dietary requirements can be accommodated with advance notice. Please advise us at the time of booking so we can notify restaurants and suppliers. Gluten-free, dairy-free and nut-free options may be available on request, however we cannot guarantee suitability for guests with coeliac disease or severe allergies due to the risk of cross-contamination in commercial kitchens.
What should I bring?
Please bring comfortable walking shoes, weather-appropriate clothing, a jacket, sun protection, a reusable water bottle, personal medication, and an overnight bag or suitcase. Space is limited so we have a maximum of 1 medium-sized suitcase per guest. Kangaroo Island weather can change quickly, so layers are recommended.
Do I need travel insurance?
Yes, travel insurance is strongly recommended. This should cover cancellation, delays, medical needs, luggage, ferry disruption and any other unexpected changes before or during your trip.
Will I see wildlife?
Kangaroo Island is one of Australia’s best wildlife destinations, and this tour includes experiences designed to give you excellent opportunities to see wildlife, including sea lions, koalas and other native animals. Wildlife sightings can never be guaranteed, but the itinerary visits areas well known for wildlife encounters.
Can I touch or hold the animals?
No. Discover Adelaide Tours follows responsible wildlife and animal-welfare practices. Wildlife is observed respectfully, and guests are not permitted to touch, hold or interfere with wild animals.
