Perched among Mourvèdre vines, the d’Arenberg Cube is a five-storey architectural marvel that appears to float above the vineyard. Each level of the Cube offers panoramic views over the Southern Mount Lofty Ranges, and every corner bursts with creativity – from immersive art installations to curated collections by Chief Winemaker and visionary, Chester Osborn.

Your adventure begins on Level 4, d'Arenberg Cube’s highest vantage point, with the Blending Bench – a hands-on winemaking experience where you become the creator. Guided by wine educators, you’ll work with a palette of distinctive wine parcels, blending them to your taste in search of balance, body, and finesse. Once perfected, you’ll bottle, name, and label your very own 750mL wine to take home – a truly personal keepsake.

Next, let your tastebuds take centre stage during an exquisite 8-course degustation at d’Arry’s Verandah Restaurant. Set within a restored 19th-century homestead with sweeping vineyard views, the degustation is a carefully curated culinary journey. Each course is paired with d’Arenberg’s premium wines, designed to highlight the harmony between food and wine, texture and taste, indulgence and innovation.

After lunch, continue to explore the Alternate Realities Museum at your own pace – a multisensory playground filled with mind-bending exhibits and thought-provoking installations in the d'Arenberg Cube. The second floor features a remarkable collection of original Salvador Dalí sculptures and graphic artworks, on loan from the Dalí Universe in Switzerland. Once displayed in major art capitals around the globe, these surreal masterpieces are now exclusively showcased at the Cube – a rare treat for art lovers and the curious alike.

Begin your unforgettable day with a relaxed 9:30am pickup from your Adelaide accommodation, where you'll be greeted by your friendly local guide for a scenic drive through the picturesque Fleurieu Peninsula.

10:30am d'Arenberg Cube Blending Bench

Your experience begins on Level 4, the highest viewpoint in McLaren Vale. The Blending Bench is a hands-on, interactive experience where you play winemaker. A palette of wine parcels, each with distinctive flavours and textures, is melded in search of balance, fullness and finesse. We did the physical work – picking, crushing, fermenting, foot treading, basket pressing and barrel ageing, and you get to create a truly unique wine. You then bottle, name and label a 750mL sample to take home and show off to your friends.

12 noon Lunch at d'Arry's Verandah Restaurant

Following your blending session, indulge your tastebuds at an 8-course degustation in d’Arry’s Verandah Restaurant, overlooking the rolling hills of McLaren Vale. This is our very favourite way of eating and our homage, if you like, to the old adage “variety is the spice of life”. Return to Adelaide and drop-off at your accommodation

Enjoy a leisurely return drive to Adelaide, arriving at your accommodation around
4:00pm.
